"This day was just terrible and it didnt get any better when I first got on the train. The 6 train was experiencing train problems so the usual bronx express was unfortunately going local. This turns my usual 6 stops into 15 stops. How could this day get any worse? These were my exact thoughts as I leaned against the train doors listening to my ipod. On Hunts Point this woman entered my cart. She wasn't just an ordinary woman. She was wearing clothes 8 times too small and she had to be more than 200 pounds. This woman had bugs crawling all over her and she smelled like alcohol and cigarettes. Once she walked into the cart she caught everyone's attention. She decided it would be funny if she sat on this man who was obviously asleep. She turned to him and said, "Baby, would you like to dance with me?" At that moment all eyes were on her and everyone on the train cart, including myself, were laughing histerically. When the man realized what was going he screamed at the top of his lungs. He sounded like Wookie from Star Wars. I never laughed so hard in my life at this point. He ran across the cart and she followed him. Unfortunately for him, the train was stuck in traffic so it was stuck in between stops. There was no escape for him. He told the woman, "Look lady, I'm not interested so back off of me before this has to get physical." She responded with only more flirtation because she felt he was playing hard to get. This became a game of tag between the woman and the man.
The train stops at Parkchester.
The man ran away from the train screaming, "I'm free!" at the top of his lungs. This saddened the woman. It was at that moment that she decided to use one of the train poles as her own personal strip pole. She started spinning around and around and these random teenagers decided to encourage her to dance longer by throwing dollars at her. This entire train ride was recorded by so many people on the train cart and till this day I continue to search for it on youtube but sadly I cannot find it. This terrible day went on to being one of the most funniest days ever.

Did I Just See That?
My blog is about the awkward things that my friends and I see and experience while taking public transportation. The things that people do in public can be really surprising and sometimes the stories are just plain unbelievable. These are some of our most memorable experiences. . .

Pimp Baby
"Me and a friend of mine are taking a train ride back home after a long day. Suddenly, our peacefulness is disturbed by an obnoxious, inconsiderate baby who decided it would be a good idea to take out its frustrations right in front of us by crying hysterically. My friend and I turn to each other as if we couldn't believe what was happening. We were exhausted, annoyed, and wanted nothing more than to go home peacefully, but of course the baby had to ruin everyone's evening. Suddenly, in the midst of all the tears and wailing, the train makes a stop for the first time in what seems like forever. On the platform, is a pimp, complete with a cane, shopping cart full of cans, a beat-up top hat, and neon purple suit. He hears the cries from the infant and makes a face as if it was the most horrible thing he's ever seen in all his years. He lifts up his hands, and gestures towards the baby. He violently commands the child, "Yo. Yo man" and shakes his head, while his hand is still raised. The baby gets silent."

Candy Battle
"So as I'm sitting there on the B train the regular candy salesman decides to enter the cart, but little does he know that he has some competition. On the other side of the cart there was another salesman. They had the same prices too! Even their products were similar. They had Kit Kats, Milky Ways, Skittles, and the best of all, CRUNCH. Besides the candy that they were selling, this isn't the reason why I'm telling you this story. I think I mentioned the candy only because I am a little hungry at the moment. Anyways, the two salesman got into an argument about who was able to sell their candy! They were arguing from Kingsbridge to 170th street. It was the most amazing thing I have ever witnessed on a train ride home. Sadly, I never got my candy bar."

Mariachi
"Everyday after school I always seem to run into this mariachi band. This happens no matter what cart I take or what time I get on the train. They always play the same song! They're always wearing the same outfits too! I honestly don't understand why these people do this. I have never seen any of them get any type of money from people on the train. Why do people do this? It makes no sense."
